The relevance of specification assumptions when analyzing the drivers of physical activity practice

There is some heterogeneity in the economics literature about determinants of physical activity practice and little evidence on robustness results to specification assumptions. Our contribution examine methodologically empirically what extent econometric specification—the modeling zeros particular—the definition (i.e., participation, time, frequency) its functional form condition conclusions. The estimates reveal substantial differences effects drivers between specifications as well dimensions activity.
